Our Philosophy

Soul
Embodiment
SolEmbodica is a practice located in the Henosis & Co House of Wellness Studio in West Leederville WA, offering evidence-based therapy to adolescents and adults aged 16+ with a person centred approach.

The name SolEmbodica reflects an intention to invite the 'soul' aspect of us into the therapy space, alongside embodied practice. By soul, this means what is at the core of you - your values, what brings you vitality, and who you fundamentally are. Embodiment or 'Embodica' is the practice of living this with intention, while deepening awareness of and attunement to your body.
/Our Approach/
SolEmbodica takes an evidence-based and holistic approach to treatment , which means supporting the body-mind-soul connection.

Without this connection, we can feel as if we are not reaching our full potential and may feel as if there is a part 'missing'.

Here, we recognise that you are the expert of your own experiences. Therapy provides a space for you to connect to your inherent wisdom and capacity to heal.

Meet Donna

Donna Gosatti is a Clinical Psychologist and the founder of SolEmbodica, based in Perth, Western Australia. At the core of her essence, Donna aims to create a therapeutic space grounded in warmth and curiosity, where clients can safely explore their thoughts and feelings while being held with compassion.

Her interest in Ancient Eastern philosophies has informed the development of SolEmbodica, an evidence-based psychology practice that recognises the interconnected relationship between mental, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing.

Collaborations

Your wellbeing is multi-faceted, and care is often most effective when it is collaborative.

We value working alongside GPs, psychiatrists, allied health professionals, and other treating practitioners who contribute to your overall health. By being part of your care team, we aim to provide whole person centered support, ensuring that all aspects of your wellbeing are thoughtfully considered.

/YOU MAY ASK/
/01
What is holistic psychology?
Holistic psychology views a person as a whole — mind, body, and soul. By soul, this means what is at the core of you - your values, what brings you vitality, and who you fundamentally are. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, we provide a space that aims to thoughtfully consider all aspects of self and work collaboratively with healthcare providers where needed.
/02
What can I expect in my first session?
Our first session provides a warm, grounded space for you to share your presenting concerns at your own pace. We begin by exploring what has brought you to therapy, your goals, and any immediate support you may need. The intake process typically takes one to two sessions 50minutes in length to complete. From there, we work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and priorities.
/03
Do I need a referral to see a psychologist at SolEmbodica?
No, you can book directly with us by contacting hello@solembodica.com or completing the EOI form online. Australian citizens may be eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan through their treating GP, which provides access to up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year. Fees are paid upfront, and Medicare rebates are processed and returned to your account within 24-48hours. Alternatively, you may be able to make a claim through your private health insurance yourself; please note that SolEmbodica does not offer HICAPS facilities on site.
/04
How much does a session cost?
Session fees are $240, and each session is 50 minutes in length. If you are eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan, you can access a Medicare rebate of $149.05 per session, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. You may also be able to claim through your private health insurance policy; however, this cannot be used in conjunction with a Mental Health Care Plan.
/05
How do online Telehealth sessions work?
Sessions are held online, providing individuals across Australia with the opportunity to access therapy from anywhere. Once your booking is confirmed, we will email you a secure link to join your Telehealth session at the scheduled time. Research shows that online sessions are equally as effective to in-person sessions for many individuals. If you are unsure whether Telehealth is the right fit for you, please email hello@solembodica.com for more information.
/06
How many sessions will I need?
The duration and focus of therapy will vary depending on your individual needs. Some individuals seek short-term support during life transitions, while others choose longer-term therapy for ongoing psychological support. Together, we will discuss your needs and create a plan and pace that feels supportive and sustainable for you.
/07
Is therapy confidential?
As a registered Clinical Psychologist, Donna adheres to strict AHPRA guidelines regarding confidentiality. Everything you share remains private, except in situations where there is a risk to your safety or the safety of others. These limits to confidentiality will be explained and discussed with you at the beginning of your first session.
